Delhi Labour Union is a registered trade union. The Union was registered in 1965 under the Trade Unions Act, 1926.
Roots in Unity:
The Delhi Labour Union (DLU) is not just an organization; it’s a movement born out of the collective aspirations and dreams of the labour community in Delhi. Our roots trace back to 1965, a time when the need for a unified voice for workers was profoundly felt. Any member who feels wronged can speak to the union’s officers and express their specific grievance against any private or public employer or management (verbally or in writing). The union will then set up a meeting of the executive committee of the union, when the grievance so experienced by the workers will be heard and properly discussed. A resolution or espousal shall be issued or passed for knocking the doors of proper & competent legal forum(s) and seeking suitable legal remedy(ies) once it is determined, to the satisfaction, that the complaint is genuine.

Delhi Labour Union has served as a proactive forum for addressing complaints by taking the necessary actions and pursuing the legal remedies available to the aggrieved. Since the previous 58 years, the union has upheld the same ideals and tenets towards giving a proper conclusion. We think that the long tradition and widest variety of experiences in addressing the grievances of the wronged workers via legal remedies have strengthened the principle and belief of collective bargaining in the hearts of members of this entity.
