How does it work? How you can get help from us?

Ans. Any member who feels wronged can speak to the union’s officers and express their specific grievance against any private or public employer or management (verbally or in writing). The union will then set up a meeting of the executive committee of the union, when the grievance so experienced by the workers will be heard and properly discussed. A resolution or espousal shall be issued or passed for knocking the doors of proper & competent legal forum(s) and seeking suitable legal remedy(ies) once it is determined, to the satisfaction, that the complaint is genuine.

Delhi Labour Union has served as a proactive forum for addressing complaints by taking the necessary actions and pursuing the legal remedies available to the aggrieved. Since the previous 58 years, the union has upheld the same ideals and tenets towards giving a proper conclusion. We think that the long tradition and widest variety of experiences in addressing the grievances of the wronged workers via legal remedies have strengthened the principle and belief of collective bargaining in the hearts of members of this entity. Yes, workers working through contractors are covered under labour laws.
Yes, membership of Delhi Labour Union is open to all class of employees from government/private, manufacturing and service sector.
. Yes, continuing an employee as permanent for years at lower salary is an unfair labour practice. Labour Courts are empowered to direct permanency/regularization in cases of unfair labour practice.
As per Section 28 of the Indian Contract Act, any clause in a contract which stops a person to approach court for enforcing his right is void. Such clauses of not filing court case have no value in the eyes of law.
